Chapter I – The Present: The Home of Nala & Chris
Nala & Chris

Welcome to the home of Nala and Chris —
a place where every corner breathes sweetness,
where children's laughter mingles with the scent of hot coffee,
and where the seasons leave their colors like a living memory.

The light changes throughout the day: golden in the morning, soft in the evening,
always filled with that warmth that makes you say "it feels good here".
Nala writes there, Chris plays the piano,
and the children invent new stories to live every day.

The kitchen – The heart of the home

This is where it all begins.
The kitchen is Nala's kingdom:
between Sunday cakes, laughter dusted with flour, and cups of hot chocolate,
she turns simple moments into tender memories.

On the table, an old notebook overflows with scribbled recipes and story notes.
Each page tells a bit about the family —
a cake for Vanilla's birthday, an apple pie to comfort Rachel,
or star-shaped cookies that Zoé loves to decorate.

The living room – Where music brings together

When Chris sits at the piano, the house holds its breath.
This is the room of sharing, of calm after the storm.
The children sometimes fall asleep there, curled up on the rug,
while the notes softly echo between the light walls.

It is also the place for winter evenings, when the candlelight reflects in the windows
and Nala softly rereads the stories she has written.

The landing – The crossroads of little moments

It is a simple place, but full of life.
Between the bedrooms and the stairs, the landing is that suspended corner where the family crosses paths at all hours.
In the morning, you hear hurried steps toward the kitchen; in the evening, the muffled laughter of children before bedtime.

Under the garland hung on the railing, Nala likes to place some decorations according to the seasons:
a Christmas wreath, a vase of dried flowers in spring, or a basket filled with forgotten toys.

It is often here that Vanilla comes to read in secret,
or that Chris stops for a moment to watch the whole house come to life downstairs.

The bedrooms – Little worlds apart

Nala & Chris's bedroom – The evening refuge

When the house falls asleep, this is where everything becomes calm.
Nala and Chris's bedroom is bathed in a soft light, often filtered through white curtains.
A half-open book rests on the nightstand, a candle melts slowly,
and on the wall, a frame with a family photo reminds them where they come from.

It's a place of whispers and muffled laughter, of plans whispered before sleep.
Nala sometimes writes a few lines in her notebook, while Chris listens to the rain fall.
It's also where their dreams are born — dreams of a peaceful life, filled with love and little nothings.

Zoé

Her room smells of rice powder and childhood dreams.
White curtains, a stuffed elephant, a cozy baby bed.
Everything breathes tenderness and spontaneous laughter.

Rachel

In hers, a desk covered in drawings and open books.
She loves watching the rain from the window and telling stories to her little brothers.

Vanilla

Vanilla's room is an ode to sweetness: flowers, cushions, and a well-stocked toy chest.
That's where you hear the most honest bursts of laughter.

Louis & Léna

For the twins, the bedroom is a little enchanted forest: animal-shaped nightlights and forest-colored blankets where little squirrels and mice watch over their sleep.
Their peaceful breath rocks the house every night.

The Bathroom – The Echo of Daily Life

Here, the mirrors know all their secrets.
In the morning, it's a rush: hairbrushes, laughter, and impatient little hands.
In the evening, it's the bath ritual, bubbles, and oversized pajamas.

Nala always keeps some dried flowers and handmade soaps,
scented with lavender or vanilla.
Chris, for his part, leaves his watch on the edge of the sink —
a subtle sign that he, too, has paused time for a moment.

The Porch – Through the Seasons

In front of the house, the porch tells the story of passing time without ever letting it slip away.
In spring, it gets covered in flowers and woven baskets.
In summer, we have afternoon tea there.
Autumn brings its pumpkins and warm blankets.
And at Christmas, it becomes a little theater of light,
where even the snow seems to come say goodnight.

The Atmosphere of the Home

Nothing is set in stone here.
The house breathes, laughs, lives to the rhythm of children and dogs.

Vanille and Texas often sleep near the piano,
while Tisha and Caramel run down the hall, spilling toys.
Voices intertwine, footsteps echo, and time stretches gently.

Conclusion of Chapter I – The Present

Everything here breathes life, simplicity, and warmth.
Every detail, from the smallest toy to the ribbon hanging in the window, carries the trace of a memory.
Nala often says that a house is only beautiful when you can hear the hearts of those who live in it beating.

This house is more than a setting:
it is the thread of a story, woven through the seasons, between laughter and emotions.
Each room, each object, tells a fragment of the past —
the return of a long-awaited love, promises exchanged, the children's first steps.

And if peace reigns here today, it is because it has known trials, absences, new beginnings.

Tomorrow, we will open the door of memories together:
that of the first glance, of Chris's return after long months of waiting,
of the ring offered in the silence of an evening,
and of the "yes" whispered between two heartbeats.

Thus begins Chapter II – The Past,
the story of a love built step by step,
and of the family they dreamed of before it even existed. ❤️
