Far beyond the colourful reefs lies a kingdom hidden from human eyes.
When the sea is calm and sunlight filters through the surface, a soft pink glow can sometimes be seen dancing among the corals. Some believe it is merely the reflection of a seashell. But the creatures of the ocean know that it announces the arrival of Néréa.
Néréa is a young mermaid with long, pale hair and a shimmering pink tail. Curious and dreamy, she loves leaving the coral gardens behind to explore the forgotten places of the kingdom.
One morning, while swimming near the rocks, she noticed a tiny light buried beneath the sand. Intrigued, she gently moved a few starfish aside and discovered an ancient seashell.
It appeared ordinary, but when Néréa picked it up, a soft pink light began to glow within its spirals.
According to legend, mermaids once used these seashells to preserve their most precious memories. A laugh, a song, a promise… Every emotion could remain hidden inside for hundreds of years.
Néréa held the seashell to her ear.
She did not hear the sound of the waves, but a distant voice whispering her name.
Surprised, she looked around. The little turtles continued to swim peacefully, the fish slipped between the corals, and nothing seemed to have changed.
Yet Néréa knew: this seashell had chosen her.
She decided to take it with her and uncover its story. Perhaps it had once belonged to an ancient queen of the oceans… or perhaps it concealed the path to a kingdom still unknown.
Since that day, whenever the sea begins to glow with a mysterious pink light, Néréa is never far away.
And her adventure is only just beginning…
Néréa is one of the first inhabitants of my miniature underwater world. Through mermaids, seashells, rocks and tiny sea creatures, I wanted to imagine a world in which every photograph tells a fragment of a much greater story.
A Mermaid Born in My Workshop
For a long time, I had dreamed of creating an entire world devoted to mermaids. I did not simply want to make a few accessories, but to imagine a complete setting in which every element could tell its own story.
Néréa became one of the first inhabitants of this underwater kingdom. Her soft, luminous pink colour contrasts beautifully with the deeper shades of the ocean, giving her a personality that is elegant, mysterious and romantic.
Around her, seaweed-covered rocks, starfish, tiny turtles and seashells bring a genuine miniature seabed to life.
Create Your Own Mermaid
To transform a doll and give her a unique marine identity, I designed a selection of customization accessories:
magnetic mermaid fins;
corsets adorned with seashells;
crowns inspired by the treasures of the ocean;
magnetic starfish accessories to place in the hair.
Each detail makes it possible to create a unique mermaid and imagine her personality, her story and her place within the kingdom.
Néréa can become an ocean princess, the guardian of a sunken treasure or a mysterious creature living among the corals.
A Miniature World Filled with Stories
Creating this world allowed me to bring together several things that I deeply love: dolls, miniatures, customization and the creation of complete settings.
