Caring for a BJD is about preserving the softness and magic of the handmade craftsmanship that brought it to life.
Each sunnyshop211 doll is handcrafted, sanded, painted, and varnished with meticulous care.
To preserve this delicacy and the natural beauty of the resin, here are some simple yet essential tips.
These care routines are designed to preserve the color, blush, and joint smoothness, while respecting the delicate nature of artist resin.
With a little care, your doll will keep her grace and charm for many years. ?

General BJD Care Tips
Handle with clean, dry hands.
Avoid direct sunlight and UV sources (windows, UV lamps).
Do not immerse the doll; for cleaning: soft, dry cloth only.
Avoid thermal shocks (radiators, car in sunlight).
Clothing & Color Transfer
Wash dark/dyed clothing beforehand.
Avoid damp fabrics or leaving clothing very tight for several days.
In case of transfer, do not rub: remove the garment and let it rest. (Contact me if a touch-up is needed.)
Blush, Makeup & Varnish
The blush is protected by a professional matte varnish; it remains sensitive to repeated friction.
Avoid rough accessories (scratching, raw metal) on painted areas.
To dust: blow gently or use a very soft brush.
Joints & Lubrication
Joints may slightly lighten over time (micro-friction): this is normal and does not affect durability.
To maintain smoothness, apply very lightly some neutral petroleum jelly with a cotton swab to internal joints only (never on the blush).
If a joint feels like it's catching, move it gently rather than pulling.
Internal Elastic Cords
They may loosen over time. An annual check-up is recommended.
Avoid leaving the doll under extreme tension (very bent poses) for long periods.

BJD Pets SunnyShop211
The BJD Pets are special creations, entirely hand-painted.
Each animal is a work of art in its own right, often created with gradient, tie & dye or natural shading effects.
✨ To preserve their colors and finishes:
Handle them gently and avoid direct rubbing between two painted areas.
For tie & dye models, gently pull on the joint before bending it: this prevents paint-to-paint contact and protects the shading.
Avoid prolonged exposure to heat, humidity or direct light.
Never immerse or clean with alcohol: use only a soft dry cloth.
If, over time, some shades fade slightly, it is normal paint aging. Small localized touch-ups can be made .
Each BJD Pet is unique. These slight changes over time are part of its living, handcrafted character.
